SPARK is producing an open-access toolkit for lower-secondary teachers: animated videos, gamified e-learning modules and a virtual escape room — all linking personal finance to STEAM. Every output is released under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 so any school in Europe can adopt and adapt the materials for non-commercial use.
Animated videos
Eight short animated explainer videos, each released in English, Dutch, Italian and Lithuanian — 32 localised versions in total. Covering topics such as compound interest, opportunity cost, scientific reasoning under uncertainty and risk modelling.
Status: in production — first three videos expected Q4 2026, full set by Q2 2027.
E-learning modules
Bite-sized interactive lessons with instant feedback, designed to slot into existing science and maths curricula. Each module includes a short quiz and a teacher-facing assessment rubric.
Status: design phase — first prototypes pilot in Q1 2027.
Virtual escape room
A 45-minute browser-based puzzle experience where small student groups apply financial and scientific reasoning together to escape the room.
Status: scoping — playable beta by Q2 2027.
Curriculum framework
An interdisciplinary mapping of financial-literacy learning outcomes against STEM/STEAM curricula in NL, MT, IT and LT. Available as a downloadable PDF.
Status: draft due Sep 2026 (gap analysis closes August 2026).
