SPARK — STEAM and Personal Finance for Real-World Knowledge — is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in school education, running from November 2025 through October 2027.
Why we built SPARK
Many young Europeans enter adulthood without a grip on personal finance. At the same time, demand for STEM competencies keeps rising. SPARK weaves these two worlds into one interdisciplinary experience — so students learn to reason about money, risk and long-term value through the same lens they use for science and technology.
Our objectives
- Strengthen teenagers’ decision-making by integrating financial literacy with STEM/STEAM practice
- Equip teachers with ready-to-use, interdisciplinary classroom resources
- Engage students through gamification — animated videos, interactive modules, a virtual escape room
- Advance gender equality in STEM through inclusive content and role-model narratives
Who we are
Six partners across four countries: two schools (NL, MT), one progymnasium (LT), a startup incubator (NL), a research centre (IT) and a learning-design organisation (MT). Together we cover formal and non-formal education, gamification expertise and educational research.
Grant no. 2025-1-NL01-KA220-SCH-000354840 · Co-funded by the European Union.
